Just a heads up…

Our 10-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog is very picky about where he’s going to lay. He’s quite old now, so he needs something very soft, and this mat got his back. It seems to have a calming effect on him, and if you have a senior dog, this mat is a good option.

Additionally… 

It’s impressive how effective it is in catching dirt— it traps so much dog hair, grime, and debris that we always have to shake it out before putting it in the washer. And it’s a breeze to shake out! We like how much it fluffs up after a good shake; it looks even nicer afterward. 

In our experience, we don’t have to wash it often as it still looks brand new even after a week of daily use, but because it’s so flexible, it’s easy to machine-wash if we want to clean and disinfect it completely. 

Admittedly… 

This mat isn’t the most attractive option on our list. It’s kind of basic-looking, but if you prefer your dog doormat to blend in rather than stand out, this is a good choice. Besides, we think the quality of this mat outweighs its not-so-fancy appearance.
