Our Verdict: Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball
Diving right in:
I’m a huge fan of the Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball and immediately I knew that my dogs were going to get a good teeth cleaning because they couldn’t get enough of it. They constantly wanted to play with the ball, which is great, but then they would also bite on the grooves and clear out some of the plaque and tartar in their teeth.
I truly believe this is the Best Teeth Cleaning Ball For Dogs on the market right now. And even though there aren’t too many toys made in this vein, I did try out a few and this is the one that I absolutely like the most.
How did it do in each of the 5 categories?
For the durability category, I know this tooth cleaning Ball performed admirably. The ball itself is sturdy, the material is strong, and it withstood some pretty aggressive biting on the part of my dog. Like any toy, it eventually ripped apart but it certainly lasted for all while longer than I originally expected.
In the safety category, I definitely appreciate this product a great deal because I consider it very safe. In fact, all 6 products that I reviewed are very safe and this one is no different. It’s round, it’s made of all-natural material, and it isn’t going to cause any harm to your dogs if they accidentally swallow some of it while chewing it up.
Is this product satisfying for dogs?
Absolutely. My dogs really liked both aspects of this dog teeth cleaning toy. They like chewing on it which is exactly what I’d hoped because that’s how they are going to get their teeth cleaned. But they also like playing with the ball itself, which is great because they might as well have some fun with it too while they take care of their teeth and gums.
And speaking of teeth cleaning…
This product also performed much more than satisfactorily. In fact, it did a really great job in the teeth cleaning category and it was one of my all-around favorite choices, and this is especially true when compared to the dog teeth cleaning balls that didn’t make the cut.
And lastly:
The dogs were definitely attracted to the ball as well. It may not have been the tastiest product in the world, but it’s round, they enjoy kicking it around, and it’s got attractive material that makes them want to chew it up and clean their teeth in the process.
My final verdict: this product scored a 90 out of 100, which puts it in 4th place.

Our Analysis, Comparisons & Test Results
Here’s the most important thing to know:

I willingly share this information because I understand how tough it can be to find products for dogs and cats, only to learn that they do not live up to the hype. It’s my job to determine if the hype is just that – a company blowing smoke up our backside. Or I’ll learn if the hype is well-deserved.

In all honesty, the last place product didn’t do very badly either in my opinion. The Fine-Pets Dog Chew Toothbrush received a pretty great 84 out of 100, which is a solid B score and more than satisfactory.

A few things immediately spring to mind. First, I appreciate it a lot because it is made of extra tough rubber.
Second:
This really isn’t your typical rubber because it is made of non-toxic material. It has good elasticity, bite resistance, and it is non abrasive as well. So, it was ultimately designed to last for a long time, which is a good thing because dog toys can get very expensive after a while.

In the category Safety, I have once again happy to say that the Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball also did very well in this category. It came in second place and tied in this category with the Hartz Chew ‘n Clean Bacon Flavored Dog Chew Toy. Both products scored a fantastic 94 out of 100.
The Arm & Hammer Super Treadz Gorilla had the best score out of the group but only managed to land in first place by a very small margin. The overall score was 96 out of 100, which gave it the ability to steal the top prize – and this product deserves it.

Teeth Cleaning
For the Teeth Cleaning category, the Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball received another excellent score in this particular category. I gave it a 94 out of 100, which effectively puts this product in fourth place, but only by a very small margin.
In first place, I gave the top prize to the Arm & Hammer Super Treadz Gorilla dog chew toy and toothbrush. This product did an excellent job at cleaning unwanted plaque and tartar, so I gave it a 98 out of 100, which is nearly perfect.
And the last place product is the M. C. Works Pineapple Dog Dental Chews Toy, which was also an amazingly effective teeth cleaning toy, but it just happened to be the least effective even though it received a whopping 90 out of 100, which is truly a fantastic score.
The Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball really impressed me with its teeth cleaning capabilities. It has thick rubber teeth that the dogs chew on incessantly. This chewing action causes the teeth on the rubber ball to scrape the plaque and tartar off of my dog’s teeth and it does so very effectively I might add.

Attraction
Rounding things out with the category Attraction, the Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball definitely excels in this category as well. I was very happy to give this product a 90 out of 100, which once again places it in fourth place.
My dogs really couldn’t get enough of the Hartz Chew ‘n Clean Bacon Flavored Dog Chew Toy, which should be a major shocker because the Hawks absolutely love the great taste of bacon. It isn’t the healthiest thing in the world, which is good for these dogs because they are only eating a bacon flavored starchy solution. This product received a 98 out of 100 in this category.
The last place product is the Fine-Pets Dog Chew Toothbrush. I gave it an 86 out of 100, which is actually a really good score as you already know. That is a solid B+ and a really excellent score.

Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball FAQs:
Is It Possible To Put Treats Inside The Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball?
Even though I didn’t focus my review in this area, I wanted to mention here that it is certainly possible to put treats inside the reservoir of this dog chew toy.
In fact, in each of the holes beneath the teeth, you can easily fit three or four dog treats in the slot without any problem. And there are eight slots in the ball, so you can easily fit anywhere from 24-32 treats in total.
This is a great option because it makes this dog toothbrush chew toy even more attractive because the dogs can’t wait to get to the tasty treats, so they are constantly gnawing on it to get to the snacks inside.
Is The Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball Too Big For A 5 Pound Puppy?
Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, I read a story from a woman that was talking about this dog chew Toy ball on her favorite retailer’s website. She mentioned that her puppy was exactly 5 pounds when she first picked up this ball and it was the perfect size for her little pup.
Even more interesting, once the dog doubled in size and was 10 pounds, he still absolutely adored this treat ball a great deal. So, if you ask me, I can say with certainty that smaller dogs and puppies will absolutely love this toothbrush chew toy and get a kick out of playing with it as well, which is great in my opinion.
Is It Difficult To Put Kibbles Or Dog Treats Inside The Idepet Dog Tooth Cleaning Ball?
In all honesty, it’s extremely easy to get the treats, snacks, or plain old dog food inside the all-natural rubber ball. I never had a problem getting any of my treats for my dog inside this ball whatsoever.
Here’s how I handled it:
Grab each side of the teeth with your fingers and spread them apart just a little bit to make extra room to fit the snacks. Now that the opening is wider, make sure to keep it held open with one hand, and with the other hand quickly slip the snacks and treats inside.
It may sound a little bit difficult, but the honest truth is it’s incredibly easy. You will not have any difficulty putting treats and snacks inside of the ball at all.
